By sponsoring this expedition you are showing support for our community, our natural resources, our beautiful rivers and the spirit of climbing and reaching new heights. Expedition sponsors make it possible for all proceeds and funds raised by the expedition to go to local conservation efforts. The two planned fund raising events and the expedition itself will raise awareness of local conservation organizations and the work they do in the Grand Traverse area. Title Sponsorship Our estimated cost for the four-climber expedition, including all travel, accommodations and safety equipment, is $7,468. Title Sponsors fund 75% ($5,601) or more of the total costs of the expedition. Title Sponsor benefits include: • A banner with the Title Sponsor's name and logo will be prominently printed and carried to the mountain summit. Team members will be photographed on the mountain's summit with the banner for media coverage after the climb. A print will also be made for the Title Sponsor to display. • Team expedition members will wear matching jackets with the Title Sponsor's logo displayed large on the back and smaller on the sleeve. • Title Sponsor's name will be attached to all media coverage of the expedition: TV, radio and print. • Title Sponsor's name and logo will be prominently displayed at all expedition fund raising events. • Title Sponsor's name will be mentioned in all interviews and articles published before and after the climb. Event Sponsorships If we do not receive funding from a single Title Sponsor, we will seek multiple event sponsors. Any sponsor that donates $250 or the equivalent in gear and/or discounts will receive the following benefits: • A banner with all sponsor names and logos will be printed and carried to the mountain summit. Team members will be photographed on the mountain's summit with the banner for media coverage after the climb. Photo prints of the picture will be given to the sponsors for their own uses. • Sponsor names and logos will be prominently displayed at all fund raising events. • Upon returning from the expedition, a full page ad will be run in the local paper to thank all sponsors, featuring the picture of the sponsor banner and the climbers on the top of Alpamayo. Forms of Sponsorship Sponsorship can take many forms. Any support or donation will be greatly appreciated. We have listed some specific needs below. Sponsors donating any of the following will be considered event sponsors and will receive all event sponsor benefits. • Food and beverage donations or discounts are needed for the Climb-Athon. • Prize donations from climbing and outdoor related businesses are needed for the three individuals who raise the most money. • Print material is needed to advertise various events. • Signage is needed for banners and posters announcing fund raising event details and event sponsor information. • T-shirts for all three fund raising events are needed: the Climb-Athon, the Alpamayo Expedition, and the Liquid Courage gig.
