In
an effort to draw awareness and support for our community's environmental
conservation efforts, The New Campus Climbing Gym, together with Team
Alpamayo-Climbing for Conservation, is holding a Climb-A-Thon on May
26th. Money raised at this event will go to fund local conservation
programs coordinated by the Conservation Resource Alliance (CRA), a
local non-profit organization.
The Climb-A-Thon will start at 12 noon on Saturday May 26th, and will
go until midnight. During this event, New Campuss 30 foot climbing
wall will serve as the yard stick for participants who will log "feet
climbed" and compare their height to summits of various high points
throughout the world! Climbers will be encouraged and supported in their
efforts by members of Team Alpamayo, other participants, and the
New Campus Climbing Gym volunteers who will be on hand to assist in
this exciting event!

Funds raised for the Conservation
Resource Alliance and their ongoing projects will be tracked through
the Climbing for Conservation after the event. Also log into the Web
site to find out more information about Team Alpamayo and other Climbing
for Conservation events.
Participants of the Climb-A-Thon
will receive a free Conservation Resource Alliance T-shirt and CRA membership.
All equipment will be supplied by the
New Campus Climbing Gym.
